Core, Civil Mediation, Parent Adolescent: My approach to mediation is facilitated negotiation. Each participant has the ability to share their stories and present the issues that need to be resolved. I assist the parties in identifying the issues that need to be resolved, setting an agenda, creating space to explore pathways to resolution, and drafting a shared agreement that everyone can live with. As an impartial facilitator, I don't have a stake in the outcome. I am not a judge or arbitrator. I am not an attorney and can't give legal advice. I am guide with exploring options and negotiation. Parties work out their own proposals and agreements. If a settlement or plan is reached, the participants own the written understanding.
